Dress Code

Students usually exercise good judgement in their choice of what to wear to school. Clothing appropriate for the beach, a picnic or recreation is not appropriate for school. The following is a brief list of inappropriate dress:

1. Clothing printed with suggestive or vulgar words, or advertising drugs, tobacco products, or alcohol is inappropriate. All gang clothing, signs or writing is forbidden.

2. Immodest tops (too low, midriff shows, halter, straps not 2 inches, racer back, tube tops).

3. Shorts or skirts too short (must reach the fingertips when placed at side).

4. Muscle shirts and tank tops.

5. Bandanas, scarfs, hats or head covering. Sweatshirt hoods must be down at all times (unless for religious reasons).

6. Sweaters and coats must not extend below the knee. NO trench coats.

7. Under garments showing.

8. Shower shoes (flip flops) or slippers, sandals with soft sole.

9. NO chains are permitted.

7. No "sagging" - pants are to be worn no lower than the hip bones. Non-complying students will change into P.E. shorts for the remainder of the school day.

8. Boys must wear shirts with sleeves (no tank tops).

9. No spiked jewelry, spiked clothing or safety pins.

Students who are dressed inappropriately will be required to change into PE clothes.
If you have to ask if something is appropriate or not - chances are, it's not!
