The PrimeTime program at Pershing Middle School is a successful tool for students in their academic and recreational pursuits. It is led by the PrimeTime Community Director, Sonia Villanueva, academic tutors, and her staff of activity leaders. The program offers our students opportunities for homework tutoring as well as fun recreational-based classes from 6:00 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. & 2:50 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. everyday. Enrollment begins when the enrollment forms are turned into the PrimeTime staff. Forms are available online at the SDUSD district website. Sign your child up today!
Where does PrimeTime take place?
Our main set up is in the cafeteria at Pershing Middle School. We branch out for our Homework Hour. Most of the recreation takes place on the turf field. We have field trips to Lake Murray, Cowles Mountain, and other enriching spots throughout San Diego.
Who can sign up?
All students are encouraged to participate. Please see the Site Supervisor about space for your child. Enrollment forms must be filled out prior to your child's first day of attendance. Please turn forms into the PrimeTime staff.
How much does the PrimeTime program cost?
The PrimeTime program is Free! There are no costs at all.
Why should I sign up my child for PrimeTime?
It will give your children the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills, work on grades, and prepare them for the academic and social activities of high school. Plus, they have fun from 2:50 to 6:00 p.m. everyday. In addition, those children who remain on campus after 3:00 must be enrolled in PrimeTime! Do not let your children lose out on tutoring opportunities.
